Dr Lana Schwebel z"l

 

 

 

 

On July 7th, 2007, Dr. Lana Schwebel, aged 35,  passed away tragically from injuries sustained during a car accident while traveling in the Far East. At the time of her death, Lana, an exceptionally talented and much-loved professor of English Literature, was assistant professor of English at Stern College for Women, Yeshiva University (New York).  From 2002 until 2006 she was assistant professor of religion and literature at the Yale Institute of Sacred Music and Divinity School.
